Aimé Leon Dore and Olympiacos just dropped their second consecutive collection and the personal thread running through it is what makes it worth more than a product launch.

Someone ordered a double shot the moment this landed in the house and the conversation about why this collaboration works hasn't stopped since.

To understand the Aimé Leon Dore x Olympiacos collection properly you have to start with a name. Aimé Leon Dore.

"Aimé" is French for loved. "Leon" comes from his father's Greek nickname, meaning lion. "Dore" is shortened from Teddy Santis' own birth name, Theodore.

The brand was carrying its Greek identity before a single garment shipped. Santis was born and raised in Queens, New York, the son of immigrants from Kefalonia, the Greek island in the Ionian Sea. Café Leon Dore, the coffee shop at the heart of the brand's world, serves pastries and coffee with a distinctly Greek influence. This was never a brand that wore its heritage lightly.

Olympiacos is the most decorated club in Greek football history and when their centenary presented the opportunity for the first collection last year, the collaboration had a logic to it that no creative agency could have manufactured. The debut collection became the team's official Champions League travel jacket, worn onto the pitch in Piraeus for the home leg against Real Madrid. That detail matters. This wasn't a capsule that lived on a website and went to a small number of people who understood the reference. It was worn by the players themselves, on the biggest stage in club football, in the city the brand's founder traces his family back to.

The house has always believed that the most powerful creative collaborations are the ones where the brief writes itself because the two parties already share something real.

The second collection deepens that conversation across 18 pieces built around the club's red and white identity, filtered through ALD's distinctly American prep sensibility. A black leather varsity jacket carrying the Olympiacos crest and ALD branding is the clearest single object expression of that. The visual language of New York collegiate culture applied to a football club from Piraeus feels completely natural because for Santis those two worlds have never existed separately.

What the house returns to is how rare that actually is. Football fashion collaborations are everywhere right now and most of them start with a brand looking for cultural credibility and a club looking for commercial reach.

The ALD x Olympiacos story started somewhere else entirely and the work shows it. You can feel the difference between something made because it was the right creative decision and something made because it was the right commercial one. This one was never going to be anything other than personal.

The house will be watching what comes next.

Shot of the good stuff.
